FARSHY is a specialized viewer for raw images and watercolumn files.
It supports greyscale, colour and hyperspectral images, with 8 or 16 bits per pixel, in BIP, BIL or BSQ coding, as well as some Bayer formats.
One of its most remarkable features is the support of Kongsberg’s MBES watercolumn data (KMALL/KMWCD files), offering a fast and straightforward loading and browsing.
FARSHY can open these file types either as-is or compressed with FAPEC.
The program is available for Windows as an executable file, as well as for Linux and macOS as a Java JAR file.
For hyperspectral images and watercolumn files, FARSHY offers scrolling through the several bands or swaths, including stacking and mixed-colour mode for a quick detection of features in the data.
It can also export single bands or swaths as PNG images, and you can create movies in GIF.
In the case of watercolumn files, FARSHY can integrate with Kongsberg’s SIS software, allowing to send locations of interesting swaths.
