DAPCOM participates in the IESE BTTG program

BTTG is an initiative launched by IESE MBA Students in order to create a platform bridging individuals from R&D labs, companies and educational institutions in Barcelona with the ultimate goal to generate cross-functional, fruitful and lasting interactions among them in an attempt to identify the process and mix of skillsets required to more successfully prototype and commercialize products of high value to society.

For DAPCOM this is an opportunity to establish a collaboration with IESE, one of the most prestigious business schools in the world, working with a team of very well prepared MBA students who can help the company to identify new business cases for our technologies and contributing to the company with highly valuable business development advising.

DAPCOM – ESA Business Incubation

DAPCOM Data Services has been one of the companies selected to benefit from the ESA Business Incubation programme due to the potential of its space technology (FAPEC) to be transferred from space sector to terrestrial applications. The incubation program will allow DAPCOM to continue its R&D activities on data compression techniques for multiple terrestrial applications which will reinforce the company as a reference in data compression technologies and techniques. The incubation will have a duration of two years and the company will be incubated in the RDIT building of Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), located on the Baix Llobregat Campus (Barcelona).

DAPCOM has participated in the conference Space: an asset of humanity. “Space: an asset to humanity” took place last week in Seville. Arguably one of the biggest aerospace events of the year, it featured more than 150 firms in the sector.

Monitor for GAIA SOC

Cesc Julbe, DAPCOM CEO, delivering to Dr. Uwe Lammers the Touchscreen for the Gaia Science Operations Centre at ESAC (Madrid). This service consists of the deployment of a multi-touch monitor which displays relevant information about the Gaia mission, besides some near-realtime information or events related to the mission, already in operations mode. The users will be able to access additional information in interactive mode thanks to the multi-touch display panel.
